iPianoLab is the fresh, fun way to learn piano or keyboard, RIGHT AT SCHOOL! iPianoLab sets up a portable keyboard lab right at your school with a keyboard and headphones for each child enrolled. The class lasts for 1 hour after school and teaches students all the keyboard basics WHILE learning tunes they love! While most traditional methods make students sit through months of drills and baby tunes, iPianoLab students learn counting, fingering, note reading, etc WHILE playing tunes they really love! Whether it's Taylor Swift or Imagine Dragons, Roblox or Super Mario Bros, Disney or Star Wars, or even Bach or Beethoven, they're all within reach, right from the first class! This Round Rock ISD Knights Chess Tournament is our most competitive tournament. It is open to any student who is enrolled within the District in grades 2-8. Students must have a current membership to the United States Chess Federation to participate. Previous tournament experience is recommended for all participants. The Knights tournament runs from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM on a flexible schedule as rounds finish. After round 1, sections will proceed independently from other sections. We may finish before 4:00 PM. Check in for the Knights tournaments begins at 7:45 AM Round 1 matches begin at 8:30 AM. (Late arrivals will not be added to Round 1 and will be assigned a forfeit loss.) Rounds take from 40 minutes to 1 hour to run and we proceed as quickly as we can throughout the day. In our program, we focus on developing all four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Our goal is to make learning Mandarin fun and engaging for kids through a variety of interactive activities, including conversation practice, projects, reading, and book writing. Each unit features a video project where students present what they’ve learned in Mandarin, helping to build their confidence in speaking. Join our recreational basketball classes. New teams are chosen each week "pick-up" style. We offer a fast fun pickup style game that gives everyone equal playing time. NASA: Academy of Future Space Explorers will include the following topics: Planets & Moons, Atmosphere & Beyond, Sun & Stars, Space Travel, Space Technology, Living in Space and more. The Round Rock ISD Pawns Chess Tournament is for true novice chess players who want to experience a formal tournament setting, but aren't ready to commit to having a United States Chess Federation (USCF) membership. It is open to any student who is enrolled within the District in grades 2-8. The Pawns tournament runs from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM on a flexible schedule as rounds finish. After round 1, sections will proceed independently from other sections. We may finish before 1:30 PM. Check in for the Pawns tournament begins at 8:45 AM Round 1 matches begin at 9:30 AM. (Late arrivals will not be added to Round 1 and will be assigned a forfeit loss.) Rounds take from 20 minutes to 40 minutes to run and we proceed as quickly as we can throughout the day.
