Design & Build a Marble Run (Gr. 1-5) by Wicked Workshop Youth Architecture Program
Architecture
Explore Architecture: Design & Build a Marble Run Harness the energy of Marble Run as inspiration for architectural ideas like itinerary, sequential movement and designing moments of interest. With tons of inspiration from the game, we’ll introduce students to real architectural projects inspired by Marble Run as well as close relatives like Rube Goldberg’s simple machines, the roller coaster, amusement park and water park design specialties. Learners will design and build a usable space for people, animals (or marbles) as they experiment with inclined planes, ramps, slides, funnels and water wheels; rethinking how everyday games generate design ideas for architecture.
