  • Summer Camp FAQs

      

    What time are summer camps?

    In-person summer camps are offered from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. from July 12-29. Online camps are offered all summer at various times from June 7-August 14.

      

    Where are Summer Camps offered?

    Round Rock ISD community education summer camps are offered online or at Elsa England Elementary (central RR/North Austin).

      

    Do you have to attend a specific location?

    No, you may choose the location and camps that are best for your family.

      

    Do you offer summer camps for all ages?

    We offer summer camps for students in grades K-12. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2021.

      

    Do students have to attend Round Rock ISD schools to participate?

    No, any student who is the appropriate age may participate in summer camps.

      

    Is transportation provided to/from camps?

    No. Transportation is not available.

      

    Is lunch provided during summer camps?

    No. Students who are participating in half day in-person camps are asked to bring their own nut-free snack and water bottle.

      

    Does my student need to bring any supplies to camp?

    All supplies and materials will be provided for in-person camps.Students should not bring any electronics or valuables to camp. The instructor will email you if there are any specific supplies that are needed for online camps.

      

    Do Round Rock ISD employees receive a discount for summer camps?

    Yes. Current Round Rock ISD employees and their dependents qualify for a 15% discount off each registration. Discounts cannot be combined.

      

    Do you offer scholarships for summer camps?

    If your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch, then you may request a scholarship for a specific camp.

      

    How do students check-in and out at summer camps?

    For in-person camps, a parent/guardian must check their student in with a staff member at drop off by the “Community Education Camps” sign. Parents must check-in and check-out their child(ren) with a staff member every day unless parents have indicated that their student will walk or ride their bike to camp during registration.

      

    Can students be dropped off early for summer camps?

    For in-person camps, students can be checked in no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and must be signed in by a parent or guardian. Elementary children cannot be dropped off or picked up by their parents in the parking lot.

      

    Do I need to walk my child in for summer camps?

    No. Elementary children must be dropped off or picked up by their parents in the parking lot and signed in/out with a staff member. Parents and visitors are not allowed to enter the building. Middle and high school students may sign themselves in with the instructor.

      

    Who can pick my child up from camp?

    Only registered parents/guardians or a person designated under your summer camp registration may pick up students from camps. Please contact us if you need to make any changes.

      

    What is the latest that I can pick up my student?

    In-person camp students must be picked up between 12 and 12:15 p.m. Late charges apply.

      

    What will I be charged if I’m late to pick up my student?

    You will have 15 minutes after dismissal of class to pick up your child(ren). You will be charged $14.00 for the next 15 minutes and $1.00 per minute thereafter. The fee is due at the time of pick up and the fee is per child.

      

    What if I need to pick up my child early?

    Please notify the Round Rock ISD on-site employee and the instructor and they will coordinate early pick up with you.

      

    How do I cancel a camp if our plans change?

    Please refer to the cancellation deadlines and refund policy for more information. The Round Rock ISD Community Education Enrichment Class Cancellation Request Form must be completed by the cancellation deadline to receive a partial refund or voucher for a future class/camp.
