TAG Festival (August 2026 Third & Fourth Grade) - Coding with Finch Robots
Join us for an exhilarating adventure at our summer camp where technology meets creativity! Dive into the exciting world of coding with robots, a unique experience designed for both beginners and seasoned programmers. Here, you will engage in hands-on learning that not only teaches coding skills but also ignites your imagination.Using a block-based programming language, you will bring robots to life, giving them commands to move, make sounds, recognize objects, and even avoid obstacles! With each project, you'll create interactive and dynamic experiences that will captivate both your mind and senses. As you navigate challenges and troubleshoot unexpected results, you will cultivate resilience and problem-solving skills, learning to analyze, debug, and enhance your code.This journey fosters a growth mindset, strengthening not only your programming abilities but also your perseverance and adaptability. TAG Festival (August 2026 Fifth & Sixth Grade) - Think. Argue. Persuade.
Give your gifted student four exciting days to sharpen their voice, boost their confidence, and have fun thinking big! This dynamic summer experience is designed for students who love ideas, enjoy a challenge, and want to learn how to argue persuasively and think critically. Through hands-on activities like structured and spontaneous (SPAR) debates, public speaking practice, team challenges, and an introduction to Aristotle’s powerful pillars of Logos, Ethos, and Pathos, campers will learn how to build strong arguments, think on their feet, and communicate with impact. From debating real-world topics to friendly competitions and supportive feedback, students will grow their skills while connecting with like-minded peers who love spirited discussion—all in an engaging, encouraging environment that makes learning feel like play.

This camp is designed to support students who struggle with reading. Through fun,small-group activities,students will strengthen phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons are hands-on, engaging, and confidence-building—helping readers grow skills and develop a love for reading in a supportive environment. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

*FULL DAY* French Language Camp (Gr. 1-5) by RRISD Teacher

Immerse your child in French through fun, hands-on activities in a supportive camp setting! Campers build confidence in their French speaking and listening skills through games,songs,stories, arts and crafts, cooking, and outdoor play. Lessons are interactive and age-appropriate, led by experienced instructors who encourage communication and cultural discovery. Perfect for beginners and students with some French experience, this camp makes learning a new language engaging,social, and joyful. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Camp Kindergarten Ready! (for incoming kinder students) by RRISD Teacher

Camp Kindergarten Ready! is designed to help incoming kindergarten students build confidence and excitement for school. Campers will practice classroom routines, listening skills, early literacy and fine motor activities through fun, hands-on games and projects. Students will participate in storytime, creative activities, and social skill building in a supportive and encouraging environment. This camp helps students feel prepared, comfortable, and ready for a successful start to kindergarten! Student must be 5 yrs old by Sept. 1, 2026

Creative Writing Program (Gr. 4-12) by RRISD Teacher
Reading & Writing
A Creative Writing Program would provide students with a fun,structured space to explore their imagination while developing strong storytelling skills. Through guided activities,students would create original characters and stories with a focus on understanding audience, voice, and relatability. The goal isto help young writers gain confidence in expressing ideas, thinking creatively, and crafting stories that connect with readers in meaningful ways.
