TAG Festival (August 2026 Fifth & Sixth Grade) - Galactic Engineers
Galactic Engineers is a hands-on STEM enrichment camp designed for rising 5th–6th grade students. Participants will step into the roles of astronauts, engineers, and scientists as they explore the solar system, design and launch rockets, build alien planet habitats, and solve real-world space survival challenges.This camp emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through engaging engineering design challenges and scientific investigations.

Princeton Review SAT® Prep Class
Students who actively participate in the Princeton Review course significantly increase their performance on their SAT, thus increasing their opportunities to gain admission to college and universities, and earn scholarships and entry into select programs. This virtual course focuses exclusively on the math and verbal skills specific to the SAT.Before you register, please be aware of the following expectations: Student should only register to attend one session. Student must attend all days of the course. Student will receive log on instructions from their instructor, and must log on daily by the designated start time for their course and stay every day for the duration of their designated course time. A firm commitment from both the student and their family is required in order to maximize the impact of the course. The fee for this course is $125.00 (reduced from $700.00!) and includes all materials and instruction. Every student is welcome. If financial aid is required to offset the cost, please complete the Scholarship Request Form. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We have limited seats available. Based on the success of previous courses, we anticipate that the available seats will fill quickly. No refunds will be issued for Cancellation Request Forms submitted after the 2nd class date. A materials fee of $75 cannot be refunded after materials have been picked up.

o you have a story to tell or an idea to share? This presentation literacy camp will celebrate student voices by providing them with the opportunity to shine on stage. Students participating in this full-day camp will strengthen their public speaking and presentation skills through engaging activities that will cultivate creativity and self-confidence. Students will brainstorm a topic, write a short "presentation script", design a slide deck to display their main talking points, and practice their delivery for the final presentation. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Reading & Writing
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: A Deep Dive into Myth, Character, and Choice is a summer enrichment camp designed for students in grades 3–8. Using Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series,students will explore Greek mythology alongside key literary and social-emotional themes such as identity, leadership, loyalty, responsibility, and decision-making. Students will have guided discussions, close reading and in collaborative activities. Students will also analyze character development, plot structure, and moral dilemmas while making connections to real-world experiences.participate. This camp is designed to support students who struggle with reading. Through fun,small-group activities,students will strengthen phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons are hands-on, engaging, and confidence-building—helping readers grow skills and develop a love for reading in a supportive environment. Bluebonnet Book Adventure: Dive into the 2026-2027 Nominees (Gr. 4-6) by RRISD Teacher

Join a veteran RRISD elementary school librarian for an exciting deep dive into the 26-27 Texas Bluebonnet Book Award nominees! This beloved statewide reading program is a staple selected for grades 3-6, and this camp will give you a head start on next year’s list. By the end of the camp, all students will have completed the five-book minimum required to vote for their favorite title during the school year. Camp Highlights: Engaging Book Discussions – Share thoughts, make connections, and explore different perspectives on the Bluebonnet nominees. Creative Writing & Research – Strengthen literacy skills with fun writing prompts and book-related research activities. Writing with Power is designed to help middle grade students strengthen their writing voice and confidence. Through guided drafting and intentional revision,students learn how strong writing is built and refined over time. The course explores multiple genres, including informational, persuasive, and creative writing, and hones critical thinking skills. By reading effective mentor texts,students identify powerful writing strategies such as clear organization,strong word choice, and engaging openings. They practice applying these strategies in their own work. Writing with Power encourages thoughtful risk-taking, clear expression, and pride in the writing process.
