Princeton Review SAT® Prep Class
Students who actively participate in the Princeton Review course significantly increase their performance on their SAT, thus increasing their opportunities to gain admission to college and universities, and earn scholarships and entry into select programs. This virtual course focuses exclusively on the math and verbal skills specific to the SAT.Before you register, please be aware of the following expectations: Student should only register to attend one session. Student must attend all days of the course. Student will receive log on instructions from their instructor, and must log on daily by the designated start time for their course and stay every day for the duration of their designated course time. A firm commitment from both the student and their family is required in order to maximize the impact of the course. The fee for this course is $125.00 (reduced from $700.00!) and includes all materials and instruction. Every student is welcome. If financial aid is required to offset the cost, please complete the Scholarship Request Form. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We have limited seats available. Based on the success of previous courses, we anticipate that the available seats will fill quickly. No refunds will be issued for Cancellation Request Forms submitted after the 2nd class date. A materials fee of $75 cannot be refunded after materials have been picked up.

Explore the world of programming with Python! Learn one of the most versatile and beginner-friendly programming languages, used by professionals in diverse fields from software development to scientific research. In this course, students will be introduced to core coding concepts such as variables, loops, functions, and conditionals. To apply and practice the concepts, students will build interactive projects like Dodge the Meteors. Then, they’ll learn intermediate-level coding concepts like arrays, functions with parameters, and game physics! Applying these skills, they will unleash their inner game designers and build their own versions of classic arcade games like Brick Breaker, Bubble Pop, Star Invaders, and Pong. By the end of the course, students will not only have a solid foundation in Python but will also be able to design and develop their own arcade games, combining fun with practical coding experience. Embark on an exciting coding adventure! This comprehensive full-day camp blends coding and creative game development. Students will use Scratch, a fun drag-and-drop coding environment, to learn fundamental coding concepts like variables, loops, and conditionals. Applying these concepts, students will build interest-based games, such as Pet and Ball, Shark and Fish, and Snowman Maze. They will creatively design characters and craft scenes to bring their own story and animation ideas to life. Then, they will level up to intermediate coding concepts like events, functions, and game physics to build engaging platformer games, including a custom Mario game. Video Game Design Hackathon (Gr. 2-8) by Compuchild

Design. Code. Compete! In Video Game Design Hackathon, students of all experience levels bring their creativity to life by designing and coding their own interactive video games using block-based coding platforms. Beginners start by learning game design basics—character movement, scoring systems, and storytelling—while advanced students dive deeper into multi-level design, animations, and advanced logic. Campers work individually or in small teams, moving from guided challenges to open creation as the week progresses. Along the way, they’ll explore key concepts in coding, problem-solving, and design thinking while receiving mentorship and feedback. The week culminates in a Game Showcase and Hackathon, where all students present and play their games for judges and peers. Top projects will be submitted to CompuChild’s National Game Design Competition, giving every participant a chance to shine!
