Explore the world of coding with Python—one of the most accessible programming languages! Learn one of the most versatile and beginner-friendly programming languages, used by professionals in diverse fields from software development to scientific research. In this course, students will be introduced to core coding concepts such as variables, loops, functions, and conditionals. To apply and practice the concepts, students will build interactive projects like Dodge the Meteors. Then, they’ll learn intermediate-level coding concepts like arrays, functions with parameters, and game physics! Applying these skills, they will unleash their inner game designers and build their own versions of classic arcade games like Brick Breaker, Bubble Pop, Star Invaders, and Pong. By the end of the course, students will not only have a solid foundation in Python but will also be able to design and develop their own arcade games, combining fun with practical coding experience. This camp combines content from both our beginner camp 'Python: Intro' and our intermediate camp 'Python: Arcade Games'. Design & Print in 3D: Idea to Reality (Gr. 2-5) by Wize Computing Academy

Unleash your child’s creativity in 3D with our engaging modeling and 3D printing course. Students will learn the foundations of 3D design by creating virtual models. Our experienced instructors guide them step-by-step through the process of designing objects for 3D printing, allowing them to bring their unique ideas to life. We use easy to use, intuitive and engaging software to allow young students to transition from drawing in 2D to designing in 3D in minutes – no CAD or computer experience necessary! Students get to take home the objects they design and print. Our Little Coders camp is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! The curriculum is designed specifically for early readers and takes into account cognitive abilities as well as the attention span typical for ages 5-7. We use age-appropriate online tools, including Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch to introduce basic coding skills. After the camp, students will be able to share their projects with family and friends and continue programming at home with their Coding with Kids Scratch account.
