*FULL DAY* Scratch Game Development (Gr. 3-6) by Coding with Kids

Summer Camps / Coding/Programming -
2026 Summer In-Person Camps

Embark on an exciting coding adventure! This comprehensive full-day camp blends coding and creative game development. Students will use Scratch, a fun drag-and-drop coding environment, to learn fundamental coding concepts like variables, loops, and conditionals. Applying these concepts, students will build interest-based games, such as Pet and Ball, Shark and Fish, and Snowman Maze. They will creatively design characters and craft scenes to bring their own story and animation ideas to life. Then, they will level up to intermediate coding concepts like events, functions, and game physics to build engaging platformer games, including a custom Mario game. This camp is a perfect mix of fun and learning! This camp combines the content from both our beginner camp 'Scratch: Intro to Game Development' and our intermediate camp 'Scratch: Platformer and Maze Games I'.

Required Supplies: District Chromebook and charging cord used during the school year that was to be sent home for summer.
