TAG Festival (August 2025 Fifth & Sixth Grade) - Game Changers: Think Like a Lawyer
Are you ready to unleash your potential as a critical thinkers? In this session, students will study various cases and learn to develop argumentative responses based on text evidence. Students will use the DRAAW + C writing framework used in law schools across the country to write their argument. This class is designed for students who enjoy analyzing facts and having engaging discussions across a variety of topics.Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

Join our recreational basketball classes. New teams are chosen each week "pick-up" style. We offer a fast fun pickup style game that gives everyone equal playing time. Through interactive discussions, critical analysis, and creative activities, students will connect with the novel’s compelling characters while enhancing their comprehension, vocabulary, and analytical thinking skills. CAMP HIGHLIGHTS In-Depth Novel Analysis – Explore the historical and emotional depth of REFUGEE, examining its characters, plot, and themes. Theme-Based Discussions – Engage in thought-provoking conversations about survival, courage, and the global refugee experience. Vocabulary Expansion – Strengthen language skills with targeted vocabulary exercises drawn from the novel. Historical Connections – Learn about real-world events that inspired the book, deepening historical understanding. Critical Thinking & Reflection – Analyze the text through literary devices, writing prompts, and group activities that encourage thoughtful interpretation. In this inspiring camp, students will explore the transformative power of art and creativity using the book Create Your Life Book by Tamara Laporte. Through guided step-by-step mixed-media drawing and painting projects, students will embark on a journey of self-expression, personal growth, and self-discovery. This camp encourages students to recognize and overcome personal challenges, release limiting beliefs, and cultivate a sense of gratitude and self-love. Camp Highlights: Mixed-Media Projects: Learn the art of blending various materials, including drawing, painting, and collage techniques, to express individual thoughts and feelings. Self-Exploration Exercises: Engage in expressive exercises designed to uncover personal obstacles and work through them creatively.
