Like to sing? Want to sing better? Glee Singers Camp will provide an opportunity for musical growth and expression in a fun choir experience. Campers will learn fundamental singing techniques, introductory harmony, fun dance routines and stage presence. There will be opportunities to add in personal flare and collaborate in songwriting. We will incorporate a variety of songs from oldies to today's greatest hits a cappella, accompanied by instruments and with backing tracks. Campers will prepare throughout the week for a closing performance on Thursday. No experience necessary. Let your voice be heard! Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle. Come learn to rock! Beginner campers will learn to play basic chords and beats, learn to play in time and as a band, learn some recording techniques, and have fun. Campers who already play an instrument will improve their skill and learn how to play as a band. No musical experience required. Drums, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboard will be provided. Campers are welcome to bring their own instruments, including other kinds of instruments which we will incorporate. CAMP HIGHLIGHTS: Ensemble Playing: Learn the fundamentals of playing in an ensemble, including listening skills, coordination, and blending with other instruments. Instrument & Stand Requirements: Participants should bring their own violin, viola, or cello, along with a music stand. Group Music-making: Collaborate with other musicians to perform and enjoy playing in a supportive group atmosphere. Fun and Community: Beyond learning new skills, the camp offers a chance to meet other musicians, build confidence, and create lasting musical memories.
