Join our recreational basketball classes. New teams are chosen each week "pick-up" style. We offer a fast fun pickup style game that gives everyone equal playing time. Class size is limited so please sign up early. Only those who pre-register may play. Tuesday night at Canyon Vista Middle School gym 8-9:30pm.

TAG Festival (August 2026 Fifth & Sixth Grade) - American Sign Language (ASL) for All
Dive into a new language with ASL for All! This class covers the basics of the alphabet and numbers while building a foundation of essential everyday signs. You won’t just be learning how to sign; you’ll also explore the vibrant world of Deaf culture and discover the stories of famous Deaf trailblazers. It’s a fun, visual way for gifted learners to challenge their brains and pick up a meaningful new skill! Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

o you have a story to tell or an idea to share? This presentation literacy camp will celebrate student voices by providing them with the opportunity to shine on stage. Students participating in this full-day camp will strengthen their public speaking and presentation skills through engaging activities that will cultivate creativity and self-confidence. Students will brainstorm a topic, write a short "presentation script", design a slide deck to display their main talking points, and practice their delivery for the final presentation. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Immerse your child in French through fun, hands-on activities in a supportive camp setting! Campers build confidence in their French speaking and listening skills through games,songs,stories, arts and crafts, cooking, and outdoor play. Lessons are interactive and age-appropriate, led by experienced instructors who encourage communication and cultural discovery. Perfect for beginners and students with some French experience, this camp makes learning a new language engaging,social, and joyful. Mathematics
Students will strengthen foundational math skills in the four basic operations—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—through engaging, hands-on activities. Learning will include kinesthetic movement, fake-money exercises, and physical games such as basketball to reinforce concepts. Students will also create a blanket using recycled fabric to explore geometric concepts including area, perimeter of polygons, combined area, and the circumference of circles. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Reading & Writing
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: A Deep Dive into Myth, Character, and Choice is a summer enrichment camp designed for students in grades 3–8. Using Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series,students will explore Greek mythology alongside key literary and social-emotional themes such as identity, leadership, loyalty, responsibility, and decision-making. Students will have guided discussions, close reading and in collaborative activities. Students will also analyze character development, plot structure, and moral dilemmas while making connections to real-world experiences.participate. Students will follow the STEM process, using skills and allowing students to ASK, IMAGINE, PLAN & CREATE, IMPROVE, COMMUNICATE, and REFLECT. Students will design and create the following projects: a shelter 12" high for an animal, a device that launches pom poms in the air, and a maze for a ball to roll through. If time permits,students will be introduced to more STEM challenges. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Language & Speech
Español Activo (Spanish + Movement Hybrid Camp) develops Spanish skills, cultural awareness, and wellness. Morning rotations include Fútbol en Español, Baile Latino, and Zumba en Español, with other sports added per facilities and coach expertise. Activities run mostly in Spanish. Students rotate by age/experience, with choice in larger camps. Afternoons offer hands-on immersion through role-plays, dialogues, songs, and games. All activities are taught by qualified staff. Aventureros del Español: Spanish Immersion Camp (Gr. K-5) by Español Explorers Academy

Aventureros del Español – Half Day Spanish Immersion Camp This is a half-day Spanish immersion camp designed to build Spanish proficiency and global awareness through engaging, hands-on experiences. Students will spend their morning OR afternoon immersed in the Spanish language and learning through songs, stories, role-play, dialogues, games, and structured play. No prior Spanish knowledge is needed but is also welcomed. Campers who have participated in prior Spanish immersion camps with Español Explorers Academy LLC will not have the same learning experience repeated. Learning activities are customized to the students attending the camp. All lead instructors are experienced classroom teachers. Our Spanish immersion camps are for children entering K-5 grades. Camp Kindergarten Ready! (for incoming kinder students) by RRISD Teacher

Camp Kindergarten Ready! is designed to help incoming kindergarten students build confidence and excitement for school. Campers will practice classroom routines, listening skills, early literacy and fine motor activities through fun, hands-on games and projects. Students will participate in storytime, creative activities, and social skill building in a supportive and encouraging environment. This camp helps students feel prepared, comfortable, and ready for a successful start to kindergarten! Student must be 5 yrs old by Sept. 1, 2026

College Application Workshop (Gr. 11-12) by RRISD Teacher
Academics
The College Application Workshop will prepare students to submit a comprehensive package to universities which highlights their strengths and demonstrates interest in their preferred major. Students will complete their Personal Essay and Supplemental essays (as available), develop a resume, create a "Brag Sheet" to provide to adults who will write recommendation letters, produce detailed lists of clubs, organizations, activities, awards and work experience and review SAT/ ACT scores in the context of their preferred university and major. Recommendations will be offered to strengthen the application. Students will learn about the different types of admission offered, when and where to complete the FAFSA, Cost of Attendance and scholarship resources. Additionally, students will contact admissions representatives for their chosen school/major and have the opportunity to register for university admissions programs. *Guardian permission and presence is required for many on-campus presentations. On-line programs are widely available. Workshop is taught by a Texas certified English teacher with experience as a College Coach and as an Application Reviewer for a Texas Tier 1 University. Needed Supplies: Students MUST have RRISD provided laptop daily. Student must bring on the first day: *GPA/ Class Rank and unofficial transcript *AP Courses, Scores and access to College Board *Interest list of colleges & majors *List of extracurricular activities, clubs and organizations, awards, volunteer hours, work experience, job shadowing, etc.

Debate & Public Speaking Club (Gr. 1-8) by CompuChild

In Debate & Public Speaking Academy, students develop persuasive speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking skills through engaging, hands-on practice. Campers are introduced to multiple debate formats—including Model UN, Public Forum, and mock trials—while building confidence in research, rhetoric, and rebuttal. Through structured exercises, impromptu speaking games, and current event debates, students learn to think on their feet and communicate with clarity and conviction. They’ll also craft and deliver their own TED-style talks on topics they care about. The program culminates in an in-camp debate showcase judged by instructors, followed by a final presentation and certificate ceremony. Writing with Power is designed to help middle grade students strengthen their writing voice and confidence. Through guided drafting and intentional revision,students learn how strong writing is built and refined over time. The course explores multiple genres, including informational, persuasive, and creative writing, and hones critical thinking skills.
