TAG Festival (Second & Third Grade) - LEGO® Robotics
This camp is an introduction to Lego Robotics. In this session, students will be exposed to basic coding strategies. Each day they will create at least one project independently after learning the necessary skills. On Thursday, we will host a showcase for students to demonstrate their final project to their families. Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

LEGO® Spike Prime Advanced: Let's Compete (Gr. 4-6)
Spike Prime Advanced: Let's CompeteEach day, students will participate in team building activities and receive a team briefing for they day's challenges. Daily challenges will help students develop skills and knowledge to complete the culminating project of designing and navigating an obstacle course.To be most successful, in this advanced level course students should have experience with the Scratch coding platform and experience with reading instructions to build complex LEGO models. Students take their Minecraft experience to the next level and learn new technical concepts with redstone, an element used for mechanical and electrical programming in Minecraft logic. It’s a fun introduction to coding that will get them excited about programming. In 1-week, they will learn how redstone works and advance to build logic gates, similar to what electrical engineers create. Intro to Python (Gr. 9-12) by CodeWizardsHQ *Online Camp

In Intro to Python, the first course in Wizard Level 1 of our high school program, students are introduced to foundational programming concepts such as functions, conditional statements, variables, data types, looping, and data structures. These are the basics that any programmer must internalize before moving on to more advanced topics. They’ll learn and practice these concepts by building practical apps and games using the core Python language in our custom online programming editor. After completing Intro to Python, students are ready to move on to the next course in our structured curriculum: Fundamentals of Web Development. This course is intended for high-school students with no or minimal structured experience in learning a real-world, text-based programming language. This is an interactive, LIVE class taught by an instructor in real-time (not recorded videos). It is a small group class of 6-12 students with ample opportunity for individual attention and group work. It’s an engaging, effective and convenient way to learn. Animations and Games with Scratch is the first course in our elementary school program and is an excellent introduction to programming for younger students. Students will learn powerful programming concepts by using Scratch’s easy-to-use interface.
