Round Rock ISD

ThinkHer is a discovery day for girls in 3rd and 4th grade who are interested in exploring chess and STEM based activities. Participants will explore chess and STEM activities in a hands on workshop setting. All students will play a single round of tournament style chess to end the day. Every participant will go home with their own chess set!

Students will participate in the following activities:

• Chess- 2 Leveled lessons based on experience, no prior knowledge needed
• Nerdy Cooks- Science based cooking experiments
• Robotics- Building and coding with LEGO SPIKE Essentials
• Forensics- Basic forensics skills with the female officers of the Round Rock ISD Police Department

This event will run from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM on Saturday, March 8 at C.D. Fulkes Middle School. Lunch will be provided. You will receive a lunch order form the week of the event. There is no fee to participate.
