*FULL DAY* LEGO® Battle Bots (Gr. 3-7) by ESTEAM Learning Labs
Campers learn to design and build their own motorized battle robots. Using principles of simple and complex machines, gearing, and mechanical advantage, students will try to flip, push, or smash their opponent’s battle robot. Students learn the use of mechanical lifts, drills, ramps and more to disable or overcome other bots. Students will build and program a LEGO® Robot to compete in the Battle Bot Championship! The robots will battle “to the death”, and the designers of the “last robot standing” for each round will be the winners. New challenges each week! Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, snack, and water bottle. Summer Coding Camp: Minecraft (Gr. 6-8) by CodeWizardsHQ *Online Camp
Students take their Minecraft experience to the next level and learn new technical concepts with redstone, an element used for mechanical and electrical programming in Minecraft logic. It’s a fun introduction to coding that will get them excited about programming. In 1-week, they will learn how redstone works and advance to build logic gates, similar to what electrical engineers create. At the end of camp, students will have the knowledge to build their own redstone projects in Minecraft.
