This camp is designed specifically for incoming kindergarteners who will learn primarily in Spanish. It will help them develop the essential skills they'll need for a successful first year of school. Through fun, hands-on learning, each week students explore the works of a different beloved children's author, with activities that build key developmental skills. Weekly Themes: Every week, campers will dive into a different children's author, with activities focused on developing early childhood skills: - Literacy Skills: Improve reading and listening comprehension through stories and activities that focus on letter recognition, phonics, and early reading skills. - Math Concepts: Fun, hands-on math activities that introduce basic numeracy, counting, and simple problem-solving. - Music and Movement: Interactive music and movement activities that help develop rhythm, coordination, and body awareness. - Fine Motor Skills: Creative activities like drawing, cutting, and crafting to strengthen hand-eye coordination and prepare for writing. - Social-Emotional Learning: Activities that foster sharing, cooperation, and emotional regulation to help children thrive in a school setting.
