TAG Festival (August 2026 Fifth & Sixth Grade) - Think. Argue. Persuade.
Give your gifted student four exciting days to sharpen their voice, boost their confidence, and have fun thinking big! This dynamic summer experience is designed for students who love ideas, enjoy a challenge, and want to learn how to argue persuasively and think critically. Through hands-on activities like structured and spontaneous (SPAR) debates, public speaking practice, team challenges, and an introduction to Aristotle’s powerful pillars of Logos, Ethos, and Pathos, campers will learn how to build strong arguments, think on their feet, and communicate with impact. From debating real-world topics to friendly competitions and supportive feedback, students will grow their skills while connecting with like-minded peers who love spirited discussion—all in an engaging, encouraging environment that makes learning feel like play.

Video Production: Lights! Camera! Action! (Gr. 4-7) by ESTEAM Learning Labs

Welcome to a hands-on, fast-paced program that allows students to work directly with professionals in the field of industrial film and video production. Students produce, direct, light, shoot, and edit like experts as they create content for that week’s camp. Students will start with the pre-production process: outlining ideas, creating a resources list, and crafting stories and objectives. Then they will dive straight into creating content and learning the post-production process. Students will collaborate on ways to market and promote their content and build an engaging audience. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, snack, and water bottle. Volleyball Camp (Gr. 2-6) by Spike Frog Volleyball

Spike Frog Volleyball brings fun, energy, and skill-building for elementary-aged kids. Our camps introduce volleyball through creative, age-appropriate drills that teach passing, setting, serving, and hitting while building teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Spike Frog’s mission is to help kids fall in love with volleyball in an uplifting environment. Our coaches bring passion and enthusiasm to camp! Open to 2nd-6th graders with no experience needed! Coaches keep things positive and beginner-friendly. Kids stay active, learn fundamentals, and enjoy games and scrimmages. Join the fun and see why so many young athletes start their volleyball journey with Spike Frog! What to bring: Athletes should wear comfortable athletic clothing, tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle and snack. All volleyballs and equipment are provided. Writing with Power (Gr. 5-8) by RRISD Teacher

Writing with Power is designed to help middle grade students strengthen their writing voice and confidence. Through guided drafting and intentional revision,students learn how strong writing is built and refined over time. The course explores multiple genres, including informational, persuasive, and creative writing, and hones critical thinking skills. By reading effective mentor texts,students identify powerful writing strategies such as clear organization,strong word choice, and engaging openings. They practice applying these strategies in their own work. Writing with Power encourages thoughtful risk-taking, clear expression, and pride in the writing process.
