Take a deep breath and dive into the most mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, eye-popping island ever! You and a STEAM Team® of friends will take on unbelievable engineering challenges inspired by zany, wacky, wild, 100% true facts! From amazing animals to extreme sports; from epic earthquakes to outer space; from breathtaking rescues to crazy competitions - Believe It Or Not Island is sure to be an all time record breaker!Challenge Island is a high energy, high interest, hands-on enrichment program on the cutting edge of S.T.E.A.M. Education, Project-Based Learning, and 21st Century Skills. Every semester of Challenge Island takes place on a unique thematic island. Each lesson addresses multiple Common Core, State, and Next Generation Science Standards, as well as Social Emotional Learning Standards. COST: FREE GRADE LEVELS: 1st - 5th CLASS TIME: 3:00 - 4:00 PM SESSION LENGTH: 8 weeks *Transportation is not provided following this class. Join the "Coding with Robots" Adventure! Calling all 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders! Are you ready for an epic adventure into the world of coding and robots? Come and join our "Coding with Robots" course where you'll create, explore, and have tons of fun with amazing robots like Ozobots, Dash Robot, Indi, LEGO, Sphero, and VEX robots! What You'll Do: Ozobots: Draw cool tracks and watch these tiny robots follow your color-coded commands! Dash Robot: Make Dash move, dance, and talk using block-based coding. Create awesome missions for Dash to complete! Indi: Solve puzzles with color-coded tiles and guide Indi through exciting adventures! LEGO Robotics: Build and program your own LEGO robots. Make them dance, move, and interact with the world! Sphero: Control a rolling robot with your tablet or smartphone. Navigate obstacle courses, perform tricks, and draw shapes! I love using technology. I had my first computer when I was 5 years old. It was a Texas Instrument. To be able to play games we had to write the code of the game we wanted to play and save it. You will have fun while learning how to make ozobots move, and follow your colorful paths, you will make the robot mouse find its way through a maze with your coding skills and program Dash to dance, sing, or even race around obstacles!

Soccer Buddies (Gr. 1-3) with Ms. Perez Romero
Teacher Lead Course
Whether a first-timer or seasoned pro, your child will be welcomed and challenged in this class. Kids will build their self-confidence in a supportive, motivating, and positive environment. We introduce and build on ball skills such as coordination, agility, balance, and ball control while moving. Young players will develop their confidence and a love for physical activity as they are inspired and cheered on by our high-energy, outrageously fun coach. We also put their skills into practice with small-sided games. About the Teacher: I studied science of sport and I love to teach values such as cooperation, how to solve problems, respect, etc. My motto is "learn through play".I am from Spain and my native language is Spanish.

Open Art Studio - let your artistic vision shine! You choose the art you want to make, and you get the time and access to paints, markers, paper, etc. to make it happen! We can't wait to see what you create!" Art is just as much about the process as it is about the product. We teach kids how to think and work like an artist and honor all creative endeavors, even if your child wants to observe and experiment with the process more than focus on a finished product.
