Join a veteran RRISD elementary school librarian for an exciting deep dive into the 26-27 Texas Bluebonnet Book Award nominees! This beloved statewide reading program is a staple selected for grades 3-6, and this camp will give you a head start on next year’s list.

By the end of the camp, all students will have completed the five-book minimum required to vote for their favorite title during the school year.

Camp Highlights:

• Engaging Book Discussions – Share thoughts, make connections, and explore different perspectives on the Bluebonnet nominees.
• Creative Writing & Research – Strengthen literacy skills with fun writing prompts and book-related research activities.
• Hands-on Crafts & Projects – Bring stories to life through themed crafts and interactive projects.
• Readers' Theater – Act out scenes from the books to develop confidence and deepen understanding.
• Bluebonnet Reading Challenge – Track progress, set reading goals, and celebrate achievements!
