  • *FULL DAY* LEGO® Battle Bots (Gr. 3-7) by ESTEAM Learning Labs

Campers learn to design and build their own motorized battle robots. Using principles of simple and complex machines, gearing, and mechanical advantage, students will try to flip, push, or smash their opponent’s battle robot. Students learn the use of mechanical lifts, drills, ramps and more to disable or overcome other bots. Students will build and program a LEGO® Robot to compete in the Battle Bot Championship! The robots will battle “to the death”, and the designers of the “last robot standing” for each round will be the winners. New challenges each week! Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, snack, and water bottle. • *FULL DAY* LEGO® Spybots (Gr. 3-7) by ESTEAM Learning Labs

For our advancing robot engineers join the elite group of recruits to become a spy-in-training. Agents in training will receive their super-secret mission during each camp and then learn to build and code a robot that will have to move through obstacles to retrieve top-secret documents. They will be challenged to incorporate technology concepts, engineering principles, and programming, while using the LEGO© ® Robotics Construction Kits, Campers will learn how to break or make codes, learn coding, surveillance techniques, critical thinking, and solve logic puzzles. Each camp has new missions! No experience necessary – we teach kids everything they need to know to complete the secret mission. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, snack, and water bottle. • *FULL DAY* Wild and Wacky Walkers Robots Gr. 3-6 by American Robotics Academy

Wild and Wacky Robot Walkers & Steerable Cars: Learn the basic mechanical properties of “how things work and move” through a total hands-on learning experience. Learn STEM aspects and understand the robotics aspect with each build. Students will work with Lego technic parts that come together to create movable, steerable, and remote-controlled robots. They will engage in a group of four with assigned roles as Instructor, Engineer, Builder, and Cross checker that rotates daily. They are encouraged to work as a team and will explore the use of motors, gears, pulleys, axles, wheels, IR technology and much more. Each build will be followed by a thrilling challenge that illustrates the need for modifications and also the need for “simplicity” and pitfalls of “complexity”. Have FUN racing your car and compete with other teams each day. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, snack, and water bottle.
