TAG Festival (Second & Third Grade) - LEGO® Robotics
This camp is an introduction to Lego Robotics. In this session, students will be exposed to basic coding strategies. Each day they will create at least one project independently after learning the necessary skills. On Thursday, we will host a showcase for students to demonstrate their final project to their families. Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

Kinder Readiness Camp (for incoming kinder students) by Round Rock ISD Teacher
Each week your child will learn about a famous children's author. All of the activities will include language arts and math activities.Kindergarten is just around the corner. This camp will allow your child to become accustomed to a typical Kindergarten day with a variety of learning activities. We will practice basic skills such as using scissors, writing their name, and building basic fine motor skills that your child needs throughout the typical Kinder day. Your child will experience hands on learning with letters, sounds, reading, writing, and math skills. Your child will also experience how the world around us can help grow our mindset. Come join the fun and let's get ready for Kindergarten. Student must be 5 yrs old by Sept. 1, 2024

American Sign Language (ASL) is a complete and complex language expressed by movements of the hand and face. In this session, we will introduce students to ASL by exposing them to the alphabet, numbers, animals, and grammar. Along with learning the language, students will also gain an understanding of the Deaf community and culture.

TAG Festival (Fourth & Fifth Grade) - Crime Scene Investigators: Round Rock
Crime Scene Investigations combine fun and excitement with careful experimentation, logical thinking, and real-life connections to forensic science. Investigators study the "crime scene," then conduct crime-lab tests on the evidence, analyze the results, and try to solve the mystery. As the fascinating correlation between science and detective work become clear, students absorb processes that will be useful in all disciplines.

TAG Festival (Fourth & Fifth Grade) - Game Changers: Think Like a Lawyer
Are you ready to unleash your potential as a critical thinkers? In this session, students will study various real life court cases and learn to develop argumentative responses based on text evidence. Students will use the DRAAW + C writing framework used in law schools across the country to write their argument. This camp is designed for students who enjoy analyzing facts and having engaging discussions across a variety of topics. Poetry and music both use language and sound to create meaning and evoke emotion. In this summer camp, we will be exploring poetry through music lyrics by popular artists like Taylor Swift. Students will have an opportunity to analyze her music for literary elements, and take what they learn to create their own poetry/songs. In an artful interweaving of mathematics and literature, this camp "jumps off" from one of the well-known Frog and Toad stories, The Lost Button. The story leads to free exploration of mathematical concepts such as sorting, classifying, predicting, graphing, and estimation. Students will also have an opportunity to develop cooperation and strategic-thinking skills through group projects and games.

Students will be learning about and creating their own ancient civilization. Students will be able to choose their location for their civilization, design food and water sources, create/choose a government, design their own currency, design their own civilization's flag, and more. TAG Festival (Second & Third Grade) - Forensic Science: The Case of the Missing Popsicle
This session will provide an opportunity for students to observe a classroom crime scene and to use forensics to solve it! We will use three types of evidence in our investigation: fingerprint analysis, ink analysis (chromatography), and DNA analysis. Each day we will do an experiment that brings us closer to solving the crime of the missing popsicle!
