During the training camp, students receive personalized instruction on each subject of the test. The camp allows for a much more extensive look at each subject that is offered, and students learn tips and strategies to help them throughout the test. In addition, the instructor will sit down one-on- one and review the final diagnostic test with students in order to develop a personalized study plan. Students will be learning to sew basic hand stiches and decorative embroidery stiches. Learn how to use a pattern, start and finish stiches and much much more! Final project will be a small stuffie. About the teacher: Ms. LuLu is the STEAM Coordinator on campus. Prior to being at JLJ she was an art teacher. She has been sewing as long as she can remember! Students will learn to create computer programs, develop problem-solving skills, and work through fun challenges! Make games and creative projects to share with friends, family, and teachers. About the teacher: This is my 7th year teaching. I love using technology. My first computer was a Texas Instrument and we had a book with the code of the games we wanted to play. While I am not an expert at coding, I think coding helps you develop problem solving skills, improve your confidence, boots creativity and builds persistence. I am currently teaching fifth grade as a dual language teacher.

Kids Yoga is an active yoga class for kids. During the class, students get to practice meditation, breathing/calming exercises, positive self-talk, and yoga poses that will help posture and strength. The class is designed for students that want to learn techniques to increase their ability to stay calm, positive and nurture themselves.
