    Get ready to crochet a beautiful shawl just in time for Summer! In this beginner-friendly camp, you'll learn the basics of crochet while creating a full-body, triangular shawl that you'll be proud to wear. Required to Bring on first day: 1 Crochet needle (listed on the yarn - most common is H-8 5mm) and 3 skeins of print yarn. Amazon link for Red Heart sample What You’ll Learn and Do: Crochet Basics: Learn essential techniques like chain stitches, single crochet, and how to follow a pattern. Create a Triangular Shawl: Work on your very own simple shawl using the skills you learn in class. Finish Your Project: By the end of the class, you'll have a completed shawl ready for Summer! Optional Challenge: If you finish early, you’ll have the chance to explore more advanced crochet techniques and start a new project.   • Princeton Review SAT® Prep Class

    Students who actively participate in the Princeton Review course significantly increase their performance on their SAT, thus increasing their opportunities to gain admission to college and universities, and earn scholarships and entry into select programs. This virtual course focuses exclusively on the math and verbal skills specific to the SAT. Before you register, please be aware of the following expectations: Student should only register to attend one session. Student must attend all days of the course. Student will receive log on instructions from their instructor, and must log on daily by the designated start time for their course and stay every day for the duration of their designated course time. A firm commitment from both the student and their family is required in order to maximize the impact of the course. The fee for this course is $125.00 (reduced from $700.00!) and includes all materials and instruction. Every student is welcome. If financial aid is required to offset the cost, please complete the Scholarship Request Form. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We have limited seats available. Based on the success of previous courses, we anticipate that the available seats will fill quickly. No refunds will be issued for Cancellation Request Forms submitted after the 2nd class date. A materials fee of $75 cannot be refunded after materials have been picked up.
  • Round Rock ISD Hackathon with CodeWizardsHQ (Gr. 6-12 )

    Join a fun one-day event for middle and high school students to collaborate and solve real-world problems using code. Students get the opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills, receive valuable mentorship from industry professionals, and achieve district-wide recognition. The hackathon takes place on Saturday, March 29th from 8:00am to 5:00pm at Walsh Middle School. Limited to 125 students. No coding experience is required! Registration for the event will open Wednesday, February 26th at 8am. What you need: Bring your Chromebook, fully charged. All other supplies are provided. No refund after March 7, 2025. To Volunteer to help during the event you must complete the 2024-2025 RRISD VOLUNTEER application before March 10,2025.
