Step into a magical world of fairy tales, creativity, and hands-on fun at Enchanted Tales Camp! Each day, we’ll immerse ourselves in a beloved classic, such as Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, and Rumpelstiltskin. But the adventure doesn’t stop at storytime! After reading each tale, campers will bring the story to life through a variety of interactive activities designed to spark imagination, build skills, and encourage collaboration. Camp Highlights: Fairy Tale Adventures – Discover a new classic story each day and dive into its magical world. Creative Crafts – Design enchanted castles, magical wands, or jeweled crowns, and more. STEM Explorations – Conduct hands-on experiments like building a beanstalk structure, engineering a rubber band carriage, or creating magic potions. Imaginative Play & Games – Act out favorite scenes, go on treasure hunts, and solve fairy-tale-inspired puzzles. Cooking & Treats – Make gingerbread houses, make Cinderella’s pumpkin treats, or create edible fairy tale scenes. Teamwork & Storytelling – Work together to create and share new fairy tales while fostering a love for reading and creativity. Through literacy-building activities, artistic expression, and hands-on learning, this camp inspires young minds to explore the magic of storytelling in a fun and engaging way. Join a veteran RRISD elementary school librarian for an exciting deep dive into the 2025-2026 Texas Bluebonnet Book Award nominees! This beloved statewide reading program is a staple in all RRISD elementary schools, and this camp will give you a head start on next year’s list. By the end of the camp, all students will have completed the five-book minimum required to vote for their favorite title during the school year. Camp Highlights: Engaging Book Discussions – Share thoughts, make connections, and explore different perspectives on the Bluebonnet nominees. Creative Writing & Research – Strengthen literacy skills with fun writing prompts and book-related research activities. Hands-on Crafts & Projects – Bring stories to life through themed crafts and interactive projects. Readers' Theater – Act out scenes from the books to develop confidence and deepen understanding.
