Men's Adult Basketball (Men 18+)
Join our recreational basketball classes. New teams are chosen each week "pick-up" style. We offer a fast fun pickup style game that gives everyone equal playing time. Class size is limited so please sign up early. Only those who pre-register may play. Tuesday night at Canyon Vista Middle School gym 8-9:30pm.

Pawns Chess Tournament
The Round Rock ISD Pawns Chess Tournament is for true novice chess players who want to experience a formal tournament setting, but aren't ready to commit to having a United States Chess Federation (USCF) membership. It is open to any student who is enrolled within the District in grades 2-8.The Pawns tournament runs from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM on a flexible schedule as rounds finish. After round 1, sections will proceed independently from other sections. We may finish before 1:30 PM. Check in for the Pawns tournament begins at 8:45 AM Round 1 matches begin at 9:30 AM. (Late arrivals will not be added to Round 1 and will be assigned a forfeit loss.) Rounds take from 20 minutes to 40 minutes to run and we proceed as quickly as we can throughout the day. Tournament Details: Date:May 2, 2026 Location:To Be Determined Sections: 2 sections divided by grade based upon registration (Sections may be merged if needed) 3 Rounds Time Control: Game in 20 Clocks and boards provided Students who place in the top 6 of their section will receive a certificate. To register your student for the tournament please complete the registration before April 27 at 8:00 AM. Registration closes at that time or when the tournament seats fill.

*FULL DAY* Celebrating Student Voices Through Presentation Literacy (Gr. 5-8) by RRISD Teacher
Reading & Writing
o you have a story to tell or an idea to share? This presentation literacy camp will celebrate student voices by providing them with the opportunity to shine on stage. Students participating in this full-day camp will strengthen their public speaking and presentation skills through engaging activities that will cultivate creativity and self-confidence. Students will brainstorm a topic, write a short "presentation script", design a slide deck to display their main talking points, and practice their delivery for the final presentation. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

*FULL DAY* Percy Jackson & the Olympians (Gr. 3-8) by RRISD Teacher
Reading & Writing
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: A Deep Dive into Myth, Character, and Choice is a summer enrichment camp designed for students in grades 3–8. Using Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series,students will explore Greek mythology alongside key literary and social-emotional themes such as identity, leadership, loyalty, responsibility, and decision-making. Students will have guided discussions, close reading and in collaborative activities. Students will also analyze character development, plot structure, and moral dilemmas while making connections to real-world experiences.participate. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

This camp is designed to support students who struggle with reading. Through fun,small-group activities,students will strengthen phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons are hands-on, engaging, and confidence-building—helping readers grow skills and develop a love for reading in a supportive environment. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

A Creative Writing Program would provide students with a fun,structured space to explore their imagination while developing strong storytelling skills. Through guided activities,students would create original characters and stories with a focus on understanding audience, voice, and relatability. The goal isto help young writers gain confidence in expressing ideas, thinking creatively, and crafting stories that connect with readers in meaningful ways. Story Makers is a dynamic creative writing camp designed to inspire young authors ast hey explore different genres, craft unforgettable characters, and bring their own stories to life. Through engaging literature, hands-on writing activities, and creative exploration, students will develop their storytelling skills while gaining confidence in their writing. Students who are participating in a half day morning camp also must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Writing with Power (Gr. 5-8) by RRISD Teacher
Reading & Writing
Writing with Power is designed to help middle grade students strengthen their writing voice and confidence. Through guided drafting and intentional revision,students learn how strong writing is built and refined over time. The course explores multiple genres, including informational, persuasive, and creative writing, and hones critical thinking skills. By reading effective mentor texts,students identify powerful writing strategies such as clear organization,strong word choice, and engaging openings. They practice applying these strategies in their own work. Writing with Power encourages thoughtful risk-taking, clear expression, and pride in the writing process.
