AI Lab: Robotics & Game Design (Gr. 1-5) by Compuchild
Robotics
Students explore AI, robotics, and video game development through hands-on, project-based learning. They build and program AI-powered robots that sense and respond to their environment, creating projects such as line-following robots, obstacle-avoidance vehicles, and robot sumo challenges. In parallel, students design and play their own video games using block-based coding while learning sequencing, loops, conditionals, and game logic. Activities strengthen problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking in an engaging STEM environment. The program culminates in a Technology Showcase, where students present their robot and custom-designed video game. Engineering Foundations: Mechanics, Circuits, & Code (Gr. 3-5) by Coding with Kids
Engineering & Coding
In this hands-on course, students design mechanical prototypes and integrate electronics and coding to make them move, react, and think. Through fun, story-driven challenges, they’ll create projects like a motorized bridge that raises and lowers when a “car” approaches or an automatic pet feeder that dispenses treats on a schedule. Students explore how gears, pulleys, linkages, motors, and sensors work together, then discover how an Arduino microcontroller brings their inventions to life through simple code. By the end of the course, students will think like true engineers—combining mechanics, circuits, and programming to solve creative problems and build things that really work!
