Can You Crack the Case?Uncover the truth in Middle School Crime Scene Investigators, a hands-on summer experience for curious, gifted learners. Students step into the role of detectives, analyzing clues, examining fingerprints, and piecing together evidence to solve mysteries. Through real-world forensic challenges, they’ll sharpen critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills.

Princeton Review SAT® Prep Class
Students who actively participate in the Princeton Review course significantly increase their performance on their SAT, thus increasing their opportunities to gain admission to college and universities, and earn scholarships and entry into select programs. This virtual course focuses exclusively on the math and verbal skills specific to the SAT.Before you register, please be aware of the following expectations: Student should only register to attend one session. Student must attend all days of the course. Student will receive log on instructions from their instructor, and must log on daily by the designated start time for their course and stay every day for the duration of their designated course time. A firm commitment from both the student and their family is required in order to maximize the impact of the course. The fee for this course is $125.00 (reduced from $700.00!) and includes all materials and instruction. Every student is welcome. If financial aid is required to offset the cost, please complete the Scholarship Request Form. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We have limited seats available. Based on the success of previous courses, we anticipate that the available seats will fill quickly. No refunds will be issued for Cancellation Request Forms submitted after the 2nd class date. A materials fee of $75 cannot be refunded after materials have been picked up.

Morning: Step into a world of fantasy and imagination where mythical creatures, magical landscapes, and epic adventures await! This camp is perfect for aspiring artists who dream of drawing fierce dragons, mystical realms, and legendary beasts. Prepare to enter the Enchanted Dragon's Lair where your paint brush take you to a world of fantasy, fire, and ice-- where your creativity will soar to new heights! Afternoon: Step into the kitchen where science sizzles, math multiplies, and creativity takes the cake! In this one-of-a-kind camp, young chefs will transform the kitchen into a S.T.E.A.M. playground—exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through food. From mixing up chemical reactions in baking to engineering edible structures and measuring with math to ensure every recipe is a tasty experiment waiting to be discovered. Cooking has never been this inventive—or this fun. Join us as we stir curiosity, spark creativity, and serve up delicious learning with every bite! Registration will close on the Friday before the class starts. Kinder Readiness Camp (for incoming kinder students) by RRISD Teacher

This camp is designed specifically for incoming kindergarteners, helping them develop the essential skills they'll need for a successful first year of school. Through fun, hands-on learning, each week students explore the works of a different beloved children's author, with activities that build key developmental skills. Camp Highlights: - Weekly Themes: Every week, campers will dive into a different children's author, with activities focused on developing early childhood skills: - Literacy Skills: Improve reading and listening comprehension through stories and activities that focus on letter recognition, phonics, and early reading skills. - Math Concepts: Fun, hands-on math activities that introduce basic numeracy, counting, and simple problem-solving. - Music and Movement: Interactive music and movement activities that help develop rhythm, coordination, and body awareness. - Fine Motor Skills: Creative activities like drawing, cutting, and crafting to strengthen hand-eye coordination and prepare for writing. - Social-Emotional Learning: Activities that foster sharing, cooperation, and emotional regulation to help children thrive in a school setting. - Experienced Teachers: Led by an experienced RRISD teacher, this camp ensures that children receive quality instruction from educators who understand the developmental needs of incoming kindergarteners. Mathematics
Students will strengthen foundational math skills in the four basic operations—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—through engaging, hands-on activities. Learning will include kinesthetic movement, fake-money exercises, and physical games such as basketball to reinforce concepts. Students will also create a blanket using recycled fabric to explore geometric concepts including area, perimeter of polygons, combined area, and the circumference of circles. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle.

Create your own cuddly creatures from scratch! In this Amigurumi workshop, we turn simple yarn into 3D masterpieces, featuring the fan-favorite "Long Neck Sid" and other quirky friends. Whether you’ve never held a hook or love to craft, you’ll master the basics of single crochet, pattern reading, and increasing/decreasing. It’s the perfect mix of art and math—using geometry to build heads, bodies, and silly long necks! We provide the supplies; you provide the imagination. Join us to stitch,stuff, and bring your creations to life.
