Spike Essentials Introduction: Amusement Park FunEach day, students will participate in team building activities and receive a team briefing for challenges. Princeton Review SAT® Prep Class
Students who actively participate in the Princeton Review course significantly increase their performance on their SAT, thus increasing their opportunities to gain admission to college and universities, and earn scholarships and entry into select programs. This virtual course focuses exclusively on the math and verbal skills specific to the SAT.Before you register, please be aware of the following expectations: Student should only register to attend one session. Student must attend all days of the course. Student will receive log on instructions from their instructor, and must log on daily by the designated start time for their course and stay every day for the duration of their designated course time. A firm commitment from both the student and their family is required in order to maximize the impact of the course. The fee for this course is $125.00 (reduced from $700.00!) and includes all materials and instruction. Every student is welcome. If financial aid is required to offset the cost, please complete the Scholarship Request Form. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We have limited seats available. Based on the success of previous courses, we anticipate that the available seats will fill quickly. No refunds will be issued for Cancellation Request Forms submitted after the 2nd class date. A materials fee of $75 cannot be refunded after materials have been picked up.

Students will use Scratch, a fun drag-and-drop coding environment, to learn fundamental coding concepts like variables, loops, and conditionals. Students will brainstorm a topic, write a short "presentation script", design a slide deck to display their main talking points, and practice their delivery for the final presentation. I will create pass ports for the students and we will dive deep into different cultures daily. We’ll do cultures like Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and others. Each day we’ll start by reading and researching the country and looking at cultural norms and traditions. Then we’ll look at a dish we can make that will be a no make food. For example, for Mexico we can do a salsa recipe. Everything would be prepared safe and no make. Allergies will be taken into consideration as well. Explore Architecture: Design & Build Avatar: The Last Airbender Inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender, come explore the expressive architecture of the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Water Tribes. Students will design and build unique structures informed by Tibetan palaces, hanging monasteries built into mountainsides, Chinese pagodas, the Forbidden City, Aztec pyramids, flying bison, canyon crawlers, samurai armor designs and ancient multi-hull Polynesian wayfinding catamarans of the Water Tribes and Sand-sailors.
