Teacher Lead Courses
Students develop strategic thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through the integration of chess and mathematics. The program explores patterns, logic, geometry, and probability while applying these concepts directly to chess gameplay, strengthening analytical thinking and decision-making. Students also learn UIL Chess fundamentals, including official notation, tournament rules, timed play, and competitive strategies. Through guided instruction, puzzle analysis, and mini-tournaments, students refine tactics, test strategies in friendly matches, and build focus, confidence, and sportsmanship while preparing for academic and competitive success.
