TAG Festival (August 2025 Fifth & Sixth Grade) - Game Changers: Think Like a Lawyer
Are you ready to unleash your potential as a critical thinkers? In this session, students will study various cases and learn to develop argumentative responses based on text evidence. Students will use the DRAAW + C writing framework used in law schools across the country to write their argument. This class is designed for students who enjoy analyzing facts and having engaging discussions across a variety of topics.Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

Join our recreational basketball classes. New teams are chosen each week "pick-up" style. We offer a fast fun pickup style game that gives everyone equal playing time. Class size is limited so please sign up early. Only those who pre-register may play. Tuesday night at Canyon Vista Middle School gym 8-9:30pm.

Conversational Spanish: ¡Vamos a Hablar! (Gr. 6-8) by RRISD Teacher

In this engaging and interactive class, students will love learning Spanish in a fun, low-pressure environment. Focused on conversation, this camp allows students to build confidence in speaking Spanish, as they practice real-life dialogues. There will be no reading or writing, just plenty of speaking! Camp Highlights: Interactive Conversations: Students will learn basic Spanish phrases to introduce themselves, ask and answer questions, and engage in simple conversations. Essential Phrases: Topics covered include greetings, asking about age, numbers, where they are from, and personal information. Likes and Dislikes: Students will learn how to express preferences in Spanish, helping them build the skills to share more about themselves. Fun, No-Pressure Learning: The focus is on speaking and gaining confidence in using the language in real-world scenarios. Sign Language Basics: ASL for Kids (Gr. 1-5) by RRISD Teacher

Are you ready to start learning American Sign Language (ASL) in a fun, interactive, and welcoming environment? This introductory class is perfect for elementary students who are complete beginners and excited to explore a new way of communicating! Through engaging activities, students will learn the foundational signs and concepts of ASL while fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere. CAMP HIGHLIGHTS: Learn Key Signs: Students will discover essential ASL signs, including greetings, common phrases, and everyday vocabulary. Interactive Games and Activities: Fun and engaging games will help reinforce new signs and encourage students to practice in a supportive environment. Cultural Exploration: Students will be introduced to Deaf culture and the importance of sign language in fostering communication and inclusivity. Creative Projects: Hands-on projects, like making a personalized sign name and crafting ASL-based artwork, will help reinforce learning and creativity. Join us for a fun-filled experience where students will not only learn sign language but also build confidence, make new friends, and appreciate the beauty of visual communication!
