TAG Festival (Second & Third Grade) - LEGO® Robotics
This camp is an introduction to Lego Robotics. In this session, students will be exposed to basic coding strategies. Each day they will create at least one project independently after learning the necessary skills. On Thursday, we will host a showcase for students to demonstrate their final project to their families. Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

TAG Festival (Fourth & Fifth Grade) - Web Design for the Sharpest Minds
By the end of this session, students will have designed a multi-page website using Google Sites. Students will share their website with other campers and create a survey using Google Forms to get peer feedback. With this information, students will improve and refine their final product. Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

Poetry and music both use language and sound to create meaning and evoke emotion. In this summer camp, we will be exploring poetry through music lyrics by popular artists like Taylor Swift. Students will have an opportunity to analyze her music for literary elements, and take what they learn to create their own poetry/songs. We will have lots of fun creating, singing, performing and writing!

Introducing the Ultimate Piano Band Camp from Let's Rock Music School, where 15 talented kids will come together to create a sensational band experience using the piano as their gateway to musical exploration. In this innovative camp, students will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity and musicality by playing various instrument sounds from the piano. Our expert instructors will guide them in learning different musical styles, techniques, and ensemble playing skills. Together, they will form a piano band, where each student will take on a specific instrument role, resulting in a harmonious and dynamic musical performance. Want to learn easy, fun drumming? In BEAT BUCKETS, campers will develop their inner rhythm by learning different beats and playing along with popular songs of different genres. Students work in pairs to create a short story, draw it out, and build it with LEGO® Bricks, and then they bring it to life on film. Each session students will create their very own movie, complete with sound effects & even music. Korean Language & Cultures (Gr. 2-6) by Round Rock ISD Teacher

This class is open to any student with or without prior knowledge in Korean and is designed to provide an interactive environment for students to learn and practice speaking and listening skills necessary for everyday conversation. The class will begin with exposing the Korean alphabet (Hangul) and learning to read so that students can read and pronounce new vocabulary and phrases as they progress. We will use music, art, and role-playing to introduce reading and writing as well as practice speaking and listening. Along with basic language skills, students will have cultural understanding by introducing the history of Hangul, traditional holidays, games, songs, foods and drama. Come learn to rock! Beginner campers will learn to play basic chords and beats, learn to play in time and as a band, and have fun. Campers who already play an instrument will improve their skill and learn how to play as a band. No musical experience required. Drums, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and keyboard will be provided. Speak Beat (Gr. 6-12) by Round Rock ISD Teacher

Speak Beat is an innovative literacy workshop that combines communications with music, audio engineering, language arts, public speaking and performance arts. Speak Beat is for the creative student who is interested in live performance, slam poetry/spoken word, public speaking, oral reading, acting, theater, and giving live presentations. Students will workshop their material to be performed or shared before a live audience. Speak Beat develops confidence, leadership skills, literacy, goal setting, collaboration, positive self-esteem, and empowerment. Speak Beat gives participants a voice to express themselves while reinforcing areas of English and Language Arts, digital literacy, audio & video technology, and multimedia applications used in 21st century communication trends. Whether you are a novice public speaker or a professional expert, Speak Beat is an educational platform that encourages public speaking in a creative and supportive environment. Each participant or team will have up to 5 minutes to present prepared material, which can be spoken, acted out, or performed live.
