Join our talented Graphic Artists & Comic Book Guide to create your very own Heroes of Legend! Students will go through a series of video lessons that will take students from start to finish creating their own comic book character and story. The students will create and develop a Comic Book Hero and tell their unique story and will learn how to write, draw, and illustrate their stories to share with the world. This camp will also explore the history and lore of traditional comic books. Additional opportunities to work with your Comic Book Creation Guide will be available offline as an additional virtual session for an additional fee. Virtual Camps are online/anytime. Through interactive teaching and group participation, students will learn how to create stronger sentences by studying proper phrasing and vibrant vocabulary. By modeling strong sentence patterns, group writing, and individual practice, students will perfect strong sentence skills. They will also grow their vocabulary by learning vocabulary words from the perspective of their Greek and Latin root words. This tactic helps students grow their vocabulary faster and increases their ability to know the meaning of new words when they come across them on tests or in reading by quickly spotting familiar “roots.” Research shows that this ability helps students on standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT.
