TAG Festival (Second & Third Grade) - LEGO® Robotics
This camp is an introduction to Lego Robotics. In this session, students will be exposed to basic coding strategies. Each day they will create at least one project independently after learning the necessary skills. On Thursday, we will host a showcase for students to demonstrate their final project to their families. Note: Students will need their Round Rock ISD student issued Chromebooks and chargers for this session.

LEGO® Spike Prime Advanced: Let's Compete (Gr. 4-6)
Spike Prime Advanced: Let's CompeteEach day, students will participate in team building activities and receive a team briefing for they day's challenges. Daily challenges will help students develop skills and knowledge to complete the culminating project of designing and navigating an obstacle course.To be most successful, in this advanced level course students should have experience with the Scratch coding platform and experience with reading instructions to build complex LEGO models. *FULL DAY* Battle Bots with LEGO® Robotics (Gr. 3-7) by ESTEAM Learning Labs
Robotics
Campers learn to design and build their own motorized battle robots. Using principles of simple and complex machines, gearing, and mechanical advantage, students will try to flip, push, or smash their opponent’s battle robot. Students learn the use of mechanical lifts, drills, ramps and more to disable or overcome other bots. Students will build and program a LEGO® Robot to compete in the Battle Bot Championship! The robots will battle “to the death”, and the designers of the “last robot standing” for each round will be the winners. New challenges each week! The Give Me an A Literacy Project is a reading program that uses a creative approach to achieving literacy skills across multiple genres of English and Language Arts. For students in grades 1-4, the project focuses on learning the fundamentals of reading and writing and establishing reading comprehension and reading fluency in emerging readers. Using the theme song “Give Me an A” as a reading anthem and the children's book "Give Me an A" as a mentor text, young readers can use the literature as a guide and a strategy to practice independent reading.
